The prestigious Bogoro College of Education was established in September, 2017 through the vision of two illustrious sons of the soil Mr. Buhari Mazadu and Chief Zakka Ishaku who both hail from Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The vision emanated from their burning desire and passion for higher institution of learning that is affordable to all and sundry to be established in Bogoro Local Government Area.

The College started its first year of existence in Government Secondary School Bogoro as its temporary site in January, 2018 and later moved to its semi-permanent site in the former Ghil Model Secondary School Bogoro taken over by the College in December 18th, 2018.

The College got its first NCCE interim accreditation in May, 2019 after the NCCE officials visited the College in February 2019. An approval of sixteen (16) courses was given to the college to run its academic activities with. 

The primary objectives of the College is to produce qualitative and functional teachers that are good both in moral and character; also to bring a higher institution of learning to the door step of the common man who had been denied this opportunity for long.

  The Governing council of the College was inaugurated in 2019 with his Royal Highness, Chief Nuhu Tafida, the village Head of Bogoro as Chairman and Mr. Buhari Mazadu the College registrar as the Secretary to the council.
